Presentation - WiFi Router - eero

eero is the world’s first home WiFi system, powered by TrueMesh™. A set of three eeros covers the typical home. They work in perfect unison to deliver hyper-fast, super-stable WiFi to every square foot of your house. It’s simple to set up. Easy to manage. And gets better over time with new features and improved performance. Stream video, get work done, or swipe right in any room — not just next to your router. Finally. WiFi that actually works.

Presented by Ryan Okimoto and Scott Wagner

Ryan is the national training manager.

eero was started in 2013, as a “living room” business.

The full launch was 2015.

150 employees based in San Francisco

manufacturing in China.

Designed for non-technical people to setup and use.

Best in class support.

The eero app lets you manage your network from the palm of your hand, so you’ll know how many devices are connected and the Internet speed you’re getting from your ISP. The app also allows you to configure advanced settings like DHCP, NAT, DNS, UPnP, Port Forwarding,

Dual-band WiFi radios, simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless, 2x2 MIMO, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth® Smart Ready

Setup is iOS/Android app based.

The app allows you to constantly monitor who is on your network — and you can block an unknown device.

Accelerated Mobile Pages

by Daniel Reed

AMP stands for Accelerated Mobile Pages, a Google-backed project designed as an open standard for any publisher to have pages load quickly on mobile devices. On Feb. 24, 2016, Google officially integrated AMP listings into its mobile search results.

Pages making use of AMP coding appear within special places in the search results and/or with a special “AMP” designation.

AMP has three parts: AMP HTML, AMP JS, and Google Cache. You are not allowed to use any other Javascript other than the AMP JS.

You will have to maintain at least two versions of any article page: The original version of your article page that users will typically see, and the AMP version of that page
