The next meeting of the Silicon Valley Macintosh User Group (svmug) is on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 7:00PM. As always, meetings are free to attend. Bring a friend!
WE ARE IN OUR "NORMAL" ROOM - BODEGA BAY TECH TALK ROOM - see below for details.
SPEAKER & TOPICS:
Bryan Chaffin: According to Bryan, there has been a high noise-to-signal ratio when it comes to Apple and many have pointed to the lack of new product announcements as proof that Apple can no longer innovate. Bryan Chaffin argues that this is nonsense and notes that there have always been people willing to predict Apple's imminent collapse, demise, and doom. He'll also talk about what we can expect from this year's WWDC and the importance of the new products that will be released in the fall.
Who is Bryan Chaffin?
Bryan is the co-founder and co-publisher of The Mac Observer (TMO), and he's the co-host of the Apple Context Machine podcast. He's been writing about Apple and technology for more than 16 years, and is still a geek. Bryan has contributed to four "For Dummies" books, and co-authored "Incredible iPad Apps for Dummies" with Bob "Dr. Mac" LeVitus.
In his spare time (what little there is!) Bryan also performs in the Macworld All Star Band with many other Mac luminaries (like Dave Hamilton, Chris Breen, and Bob LeVitus), and he is still working on his first novel.
